Senior Corporate Paralegal — Langley #5170
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Paralegal to join its growing Corporate group. This opportunity is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills who enjoys working in a collaborative environment. There is a clear opportunity for this role to evolve into a Team Lead position, offering mentorship from the current team lead and valuable leadership experience to support future career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Draft corporate documentation relating to incorporations, amendments, amalgamations, continuances, dissolutions, corporate and tax reorganizations, share transactions, extra-provincial registrations, dividend transactions, name changes, restorations, and other corporate matters.
- Correspond with lawyers and clients to receive and confirm instructions.
- Conduct minute book reviews and rectify deficiencies as required.
- Prepare closing agendas for corporate transactions.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for corporate client inquiries.
- Perform general administrative and file management duties as required.
- Work closely with the current Team Lead to gain exposure to workflow management, process oversight, and team coordination.
- Take on leadership-related responsibilities to develop management skills and prepare for future advancement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Corporate Paralegal in a busy law firm environment.
- Paralegal Certificate or Diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Strong working knowledge of BC Online, ALF, iManage, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word.
- Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary of $95,000–$110,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and market considerations.
