Litigation Paralegal (4–7 Years) – First Nations Commercial Litigation | 100% Remote #5156

Our client, a highly respected Vancouver-based law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its team in a fully remote position. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated and organized professional with experience supporting complex First Nations commercial litigation matters.

Working alongside an experienced team of lawyers, you will play a key role in managing sophisticated litigation files from inception through trial. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, possess exceptional organizational skills, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex First Nations commercial litigation files from inception through resolution.
  • Draft, prepare, organize, file, and serve court documents in accordance with applicable court rules and deadlines.
  • Coordinate discoveries, mediations, hearings, trials, and other litigation proceedings.
  • Maintain litigation files, document databases, and oversee document production.
  • Prepare correspondence, chronologies, briefs, hearing materials, and trial binders.
  • Conduct legal and factual research as required.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, experts, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor court deadlines, limitation periods, and file progression.
  • Provide comprehensive litigation support throughout all stages of a matter.

Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of paralegal experience in commercial litigation, specifically working on First Nations commercial litigation files.
  • Strong knowledge of court rules, litigation procedures, and file management.
  • Proven ability to independently manage complex litigation files with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
  • Professional, client-focused, and collaborative approach.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fully remote work environment.
