Work for a Vancouver High-Profile Organization – In-House Counsel

Our client, one of Vancouver’s most high profile organizations, is seeking an experienced In-House Counsel to join their busy, legal team. To be considered for this role, you must be an accredited and qualified lawyer who is able to practice and appear in court in BC. The ability to travel within the province is also required.

Job Requirements include but aren’t limited to:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ recent practice experience.
  • Practicing membership of the Law Society of BC or eligible for membership.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Litigation experience.
  • In addition, solicitor experience is an asset.

Duties of the role include but aren’t limited to:

  • Providing direction and advice to outside counsel.
  • Acting on behalf of the organization, making all relevant court appearances and preparing documentation.
  • Responsible for trust and general accounts and reporting any claims or potential claims.

This role requires the successful applicant to display diplomacy in handling potentially difficult situations.
